4 of our supporters (Esther, Elkie, Jamie and Mitch) are currently training hard for our 2016 Fundraiser. This event is called TOUGH MUDDER and includes beating 20+ World Class obstacles in 500,000 litres of Grade A mud, 40 tons of Ice and covering 18kms.
Our 4 participants have already paid over $100 of their personal money to register for this event on top of the 3 months training by the time the event is held in Mid- October. We are asking you to help us keep our services operating. All monies raised go to keeping our outreach services sustainable.
We have no paid staff. We are all volunteers and some have graduated from our
recovery programmes.
Founded nearly 8 years ago to help people get over their Alcohol and other Drugs dependency, Life Returning has created an innovative and sustainable community outreach service that operates 7 days per week.
Our Support Outreach Service (SOS) and Group and Individual Recovery Meetings are free.
In all our time operating we have not received one dollar of funding from any level of Government or the NSW Health Service. Senior Executives and Government representatives are all aware of our Alcohol and Other Drugs services.
Our SOS programme helps our Community reduce Hospital and Mental Health incidents, prevents people with addiction issues commit crimes and anti-social incidents, lessens the chance of domestic violence and gives family units the chance of getting back on track. Just as importantly, the individual has a chance to gain control of their lives without the dependency of alcohol and/or other drugs.

The Fundraising Event for 2016
The people who help Life Returning are inspirational and our supporters, friends and
financial donors are essential in keeping the doors of our non-clinical day facility open. Most of the people who facilitate group meetings and individual recovery sessions have full time jobs, and many of our supporters have successfully completed the Life Returning Special Outreach Service (SOS program) and beaten their alcohol and other drugs dependency.
Life Returning achieves all it does with not one dollar of funding from any level of
Government or the NSW Health Service. We rely solely on fundraising events and donations.
Taking Massive Action Blog
So the past month I have relapsed, not by picking up a drink but by neglecting my sobriety and health, and seeking validation from external sources, specifically a man who cannot give it to me, well no one can give it to me.
